How to wear it
Layer up, Riviera-style.
October on the coast asks for very little: a few good pieces, worn in the right order. The water is still warm, the light comes in low, and the evenings want a second layer.
Morning
The knit polo, on its own
Fine cotton knit, collar open, sleeves as they are. The Positano stripe for the market, the Santorini for a long breakfast.
Afternoon
A long sleeve, worn open
The Monopoli shirt over the polo, cuffs rolled once, with the Amalfi trouser or the easy Procida pants.
Evening
The sweater over the shoulders
The Vernazza or Sorrento knit — cotton, not wool — until the sun drops behind the headland. Then it goes on.
