The House
A wardrobe for the Mediterranean summer.
Saint Véloir began in 2019 with a simple frustration: the clothes we wanted for the coast either cost a fortune or fell apart by August. So we started making our own — knitted polos, linen shirts and tailored shorts in the colours the Riviera has always worn — and selling them directly, without the mark-ups of the boutiques on the quay.
Seven years on, the house is still small by choice. Every collection is produced in editions of a few hundred pieces, every fabric is chosen for how it feels after a hundred wears, and every order is checked before it leaves our partner ateliers.
What we believe
Four principles, no exceptions.

Material
Natural fibres only
Long-staple European linen, mercerised cotton, summer-weight merino. Nothing that pills, nothing that clings, nothing that goes grey after a season.

Craft
Made in small editions
Our pieces are knitted and sewn in family ateliers in Biella and northern Portugal, in runs of a few hundred. When a colour is gone, it is gone.

Price
Direct, without the mark-up
We sell only through our own house. No wholesale margin, no agents, no seasonal markdown built into the price — so premium quality costs what it should.

Time
Designed for ten summers
Every design has to pass one test: would we still want to wear it in ten years? If not, it does not make the collection, however well it might sell this July.
01 — The Craft
Human precision.
In an age of speed, we choose the rhythm of the hand. Collars are attached by hand so they lie flat; seams are French-finished so they can be repaired for decades; buttons are mother-of-pearl because plastic never ages well.
Every piece is checked twice before it leaves the atelier — once by the maker, once by us.
02 — The Material
Cloth that gets better.
We source flax from Normandy and Flanders, spin it in Italy and weave it in small mills that still run their looms slowly. The result is a linen with fewer fibre ends: less pilling, more drape, and a softness that deepens with every wash.
Our cottons are mercerised for their faint sheen; our knits are dyed in the yarn, so the colour has a depth that printed jersey never reaches.
03 — The Coast
Designed between Cap-Ferrat and the atelier.
Everything we make is drawn on the Riviera and tested there — on the clay courts of Beaulieu, on the ramparts of Antibes, on the terraces of Portofino. If a shirt cannot go from a morning swim to a late dinner, we do not make it.
