A short guide to caring for your pieces.
Our clothes are designed to live a long life. A little care, the right gestures, and they will only grow softer with each season.
Linen
Wash cold on a delicate cycle with a neutral soap. Reshape by hand, dry flat in the shade. Iron slightly damp on the reverse side for that lived-in Mediterranean drape.
Silk
Hand-wash in cool water with a drop of mild detergent, or dry clean. Never wring — roll in a clean towel to absorb water, then hang to dry away from sunlight.
Cashmere & fine knits
Hand-wash in lukewarm water with cashmere shampoo. Dry flat, reshaped to its original measurements. Store folded with cedar, never on hangers.
Tailoring
Air your jackets and trousers between wears. Steam rather than iron. Dry clean only at the end of the season — overcleaning shortens the life of fine wool and silk linings.
Leather
Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after each wear. Apply a neutral leather cream twice a year. Keep away from prolonged sun and direct heat.
